Group Project: Each Team will work on a group project.

The teams are:

Each team to select a company for analysis. The financials of the company for the last 5 years should be available as also the details of the competing companies in the same segment.

 

The preliminary report will incldue:

Why you chose this company for study? What are the strategic issues the company is facing?

What is the single critical strategic issue for the company?

 

The final report should include a detailed analysis of the situation, and your recommended action plan for the company for the next 3 years.

 

The final report to be submitted in printed A4 size not exceeding 10 pages. (excluding exhibits)

You may use all the tools you have learned in this course  and also others ((Financial Metrics, Industry / Competitor Analysis, BCG, SWOT framework etc)) for your analysis and recommendations.

Teams must also orally present and defend their case at the end of the course.

 

Do not select the cases  / companies which are listed for discussion in class.

All members of the team are expected to put in equal efforts in such team exercises.

 

After the final report is submitted you are required to do a peer level evaluation of the quantum and quality of the contribution by the team members, including yourself. Format available here.
